What is your favorite clical piece? Mine is "Moonlight Sonata" by Beethoven?
Symphony No. 3 in C minor (the "Organ Symphony") by Camille Saint-Saens, closely followed by "Le carnaval des animaux" a musical suite in 14 short movements by the same composer. There are so many possibilities! Appalachian Spring by Aaron Copeland; agonizingly beautiful duets from the operas the Pearl Fishers ("Au fond du temple saint") by Georges Bizet, Marriage of Figaro ("Che soave zeffiretto ") by W.A. Mozart, and Lakme ("Sous le dme pais" also known as the Flower Duet) by Leo Delibes; "Bist du bei mir" by G.H. Stozel from J.S. Bach's Anna Magdalena Songbook; The Creation, an oratorio by F.J. Haydn; The Messiah, an oratorio by G.F. Handel; the 2nd movement of Beethoven's Symphony No. 7 in A major ("Pastoral") . . ..
